Your early-game priorities

Get the sell loop working before you save for anything flashy. Train enough Damage for the first mine, put TNT in a packed group of blocks, collect the haul, and sell it. The first milestone is simple: every trip should pay for something that makes the next trip better.

Most early stalls are self-inflicted. Players train long after the first mine is easy, buy power they do not need yet, or pay for a mine they cannot clear. Test every meaningful upgrade in the mine before spending again.

Milestone one: complete the first sale

Train Damage in the lobby, enter the first mine, and place TNT where several blocks meet. Ignite the crate through its prompt, sweep the crater for drops, and repeat while you have supply and room. Return and sell as soon as continuing stops producing value.

The first payout does not need to be impressive. You are proving that the route works. Once you can repeat it without fumbling around the lobby, later purchases become much easier to judge.

Milestone two: balance power and duration

TNT ends before inventory fillsIncrease TNT capacity
Drops take too long to gatherAdd collection range
Travel consumes much of each cycleConsider speed after power is stable
Current mine is effortlessCheck the next area requirement

Alternate power and run duration rather than buying only one stat. Extra TNT is wasted if every crate is too weak, while huge Damage produces little income if the run ends after one placement.

Milestone three: unlock the next useful mine

Read the current Cash requirement and save only after the present mine clears consistently. A new area should improve access to valuable blocks, but it is not automatically profitable on arrival. Test its entry layer with one clean blast.

If the blocks barely move, return to the previous mine and build strength. If they clear at a reasonable pace, move the earning route forward. Exact area names and costs are update-sensitive; this readiness test stays useful regardless of the current map.

Milestone four: improve collection quality

As blasts expose more blocks, collection range can reduce the time spent walking around a crater. Capacity lets you remain underground for more placements, and speed shortens the route between systems. Buy these only when their matching delay is visible.

Do not spend heavily to chase one rare block. Deeper layers trend toward rarer finds, but early progress benefits more from repeatable sales. Remember the location, improve power, and return later.

Milestone five: inspect pets and Rebirth

Egg Shards, eggs, and pets add another progression layer. Open the current pet menu and evaluate the displayed bonuses; do not assume rarity alone makes the best loadout. Equip for the limitation you currently face.

Before your first Rebirth, read the entire confirmation panel. Note what resets, what stays, and the permanent reward. Then rehearse your rebuild order: training, first mine, first sale, power, capacity, and area unlocks. A prepared first reset is much faster than an improvised one.

Early-game checklist

  • Complete the place-ignite-collect-sell loop without wasted steps.
  • Test the mine after short training sessions.
  • Balance blast power with TNT capacity.
  • Improve range only when drops require repeated cleanup.
  • Test a new mine before moving the entire route.
  • Read current pet cards and Rebirth terms.
  • Enter mid-game when repeated area and reset choices replace basic setup.

Continue with the mid-game progression guide or use the Rebirth guide when the first reset is near.

FAQ

What should I upgrade first in early game?

Fix the first visible bottleneck: power for surviving blocks, capacity for short runs, or collection range for scattered drops.

How long should I train Damage?

Train in short bursts and test the target mine. Stop when blocks clear efficiently enough to begin earning.

When should I unlock a new mine?

Unlock it after the current mine is easy and you have enough power to work the new area’s entry blocks.

Are rare blocks the main early-game goal?

No. Build consistent sales first; return to stubborn rare blocks after your Damage and TNT improve.

What marks the end of early game?

You have a stable loop, understand core upgrades, can evaluate area unlocks, and are preparing or repeating Rebirths.
